Konami Announces A Trio Of New ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ Titles

by Sage Ashford

During the Konami ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! NEXT’ live-stream, the company announced three brand-new Yu-Gi-Oh games coming out soon, including one based on their Master Rule format and one surrounding Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVEN’s Rush Duels.

The big game is Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, a title that uses the Master Rules of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Konami really seems to be taking this title seriously though, as the trailer discusses doing tournaments both competitively and casually, as well as featuring them at the ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship’.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be available on mobile, consoles, and PC.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyo Battle Royale!! will launch in America and Europe sometime this fall for the Nintendo Switch. This will be the first game involving Rush Duels which will come to the West. Rush Duels are the new Yu-Gi-Oh! card game format, where the entire game has been stripped down to make it easier for newcomers to get invested in the game.

Lastly, there’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, which will focus on four player battles and be available for iOS and Android. This game had the least information offered, as it was announced without any footage or a release date.
