‘TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge’ Adds April O’Neil To The Game
by Sage Ashford
Tribute Games and Dotemu announced this throwback beat-’em-up title several months ago based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the late ’80s animated series. But now they’ve confirmed it won’t just be about the original four Turtles in their battle against the Foot, and they’re adding a fifth character. Reporter April O’Neil, in all her yellow jumpsuit glory, is being added to the title as a playable character.
April unleashes flurries of hits against the Foot Clan’s devious soldiers. Her agility and far-reaching slide kicks help her close in on targets quickly, and she once again proves the turtles can rely on her unwavering support, even through slices of pizza.
Players will be able to play solo or in co-op with up to four players as they battle against the Shredder’s army in several different locations from the original 80’s cartoon. Stuffed to the gills with tons of references to that cartoon, this game is aiming to tap into the little kid inside every millennial that grew up on the show.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will launch next year for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
