Summo And Collins’ ‘The Bardic Verses’ Is Available Now On Kickstarter

by Brendan M. Allen

The Bardic Verses is live on Kickstarter, from Matt Summo and Pete Collins. First and foremost a love letter to traditional comics, tabletop RPGs, and sword and sorcery books, the book is an anthology-style graphic novel about Martin Swordhand, a bard attempting to escape the long shadow of his warrior-family legacy.

Summo says

I have been creating comics for about 10 years and TBV is the most fun I’ve had making them. Enjoyable to write and very enjoyable to see come to life.

The Bardic Verses is approximately 66 pages of comic and 14 pages of art process, pinups, and backmatter.

Backer rewards start at the $20 tier for a digital copy of The Baric Verses. Interestingly, you can get the physical book and the digital book at the same level, $20. At the hundred dollar level, you can score a 5×7” ink commission, and at two hundo, Pete will send you an 11×17” canvas print of a custom tabletop gaming character.
