Bettie Page Faces ‘The Alien Agenda’ This Spring
by Erik Amaya
The pinup model turned government agent returns to face extraterrestrial threats in Bettie Page: The Alien Agenda this March.
The series, announced by Dynamite Entertainment on Thursday, sees writer, cosplayer, and PreviewsWorld host Ani-Mia teaming up with Celor, colorist Fara Nurmaliza, and letterer Carlos Mangual for Bettie’s latest weird adventure. This time, she sets out on an adventure with two new companions, investigating countless clues left behind by the aliens. The search takes her to the ruins of ancient Greece, booby-trapped Egyptian tombs, Aztec temples hidden within the rainforest, and Roswell itself. But will her quest spell doom for the human race when and if she uncovers the alien plan?
“I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to not only write a Bettie Page series, but to bring some of my personal passions to the page,” Ani-Mia said in a statement. “The paranormal and the strange have always fascinated me, so bringing aliens to the world of Bettie Page was a given; but the real fun was making her adventure reminiscent of some of my favorite adventure movies growing up like The Mummy and Indiana Jones.”
Joseph Michael Linsner provides the main cover for the first issue with Josh Burns, Stephane Roux, and Jimmy Broxton providing variants. Mia also offers up a cosplay cover as she takes on the style of Bettie Page.
Bettie Page: The Alien Agenda is set for release in March.
