‘The Boys’ Sets Summer Return

The Boys will soon be back for another season of mayhem and viscera starting June 3. And if Homelander’s (Antony Starr) demeanor in this announcement video is any indication, heads will pop aplenty.
Picking up from where things left off, the struggle between the Boys and the Seven continues with Homelander pretty much committed to laying waste to everyone or thing that irks him. Meanwhile, the secretly super congressmember (Claudia Doumit) who orchestrated last season head-popping continues her plans to use the human/super tensions to her advantage. But even as that cauldron continues to boil, the first superhero — Solider Boy (Jensen Ackles) — returns. Will he be a ray of hope or just another spoiled, cruel super?
Even if real life made last season difficult to watch, The Boys is still something of a miracle with its timely satire and its ability to weave in delightful characters. Adding Ackles to the group is definitely a win and we can’t wait to see how things work out in this round.
