Training Begins In ‘Raising Dion’ Season 2 Trailer

For Dion (Ja’Siah Young), having powers was never easy. Making things tougher: his mother, Nicole (Alisha Wainwright), disagrees with his ambition to be a superhero. But at least as Season 2 begins — two years after the events of the first season — Dion is learning to harness his abilities at a school for super-powered kids. Then again, as this trailer for the second season of Raising Dion indicates, the company behind the school may have nefarious goals. Also, old enemies return with new tactics.
We’re glad the show managed to return, particularly on a platform known for quickly cancelling shows if they under-perform or the production realities become difficult to manage. Even back when Raising Dion was a short film, it always felt special. To say nothing of the original comic book one-shot. Hopefully, the second season will be successful enough to earn a third and a satisfying conclusion down the road. Although, thanks to Dion and Young’s initial age in the first year, it is always possible to keep this going until they graduate from high school.
