‘Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’ Introduces The Basics Of Battle

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been mocked by most Final Fantasy fans at this point. The lead protagonist’s constant talk of “Chaos” turned into one of gaming’s biggest memes, with fans unsure if the game is simply terrible or purposefully going for such over-the-top, self-serious dialogue.  But regardless of how ridiculous the game may be, it’s still effectively just NiOh through a Final Fantasy lens, and NiOh was an excellent title.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’s “Basics of Battle” trailer seeks to show what the combat in this game looks like, which seems to be very loot-focused in addition to offering nearly thirty different jobs for players to customize their builds. The Basics of Battle trailer also mentions a type of co-op, including raids that will be added later.

There was also another trailer recently, referred to as the “final trailer” which teased more of the game’s story. It was…bonkers, though it does hint at a deeper story than what’s been presented since the title was announced.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin releases for PlayStation and Xbox consoles and the Epic Game Store on March 18th.
