Who Is The Controversial Character Returning In IDW’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ #127 After Twenty-Four Years?

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series sees the return of a character that hasn’t appeared in TMNT stories for 24 years. And a controversial one at that as Venus returns in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #127, written by Sophie Campbell and illustrated by Pablo Tunica.
“First introduced as a live-action character in the ’90s, Venus was the first female Turtle, preceding the fan-favorite Jennika (introduced to wide acclaim in IDW’s best-selling issue #95) by over two decades. While Venus proved a polarizing figure at the time, fans can trust that Campbell — who has skillfully guided the narrative of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series for the past two years—will reintroduce the character in ways both shocking and mesmerizing.”
And, it seems she’ll be here for a while, as she has a big part to play in the storyline of the comic up to an including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #130, and then appear in the FCBD Turtle title. A free comic that will kickstart the massive event of 2022, ‘Armageddon Game’.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #127 will be available with three cover variants for retailers and fans to enjoy: Cover A by series artist Pablo Tunica, Cover B by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, and a Retailer Incentive edition by Jared Cullum, the Reuben Award–winning creator of Kodi. And out on Wednesday March 16th from IDW Publishing.
