Open World RPG ‘One Piece Odyssey’ Announced

Bandai-Namco recently announced they’re working on a new game utilizing one of anime’s biggest IPs, One Piece. One Piece Odyssey will be an open-world RPG with an original story from One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda. Developed with ILCA Inc (previously known for their work on Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remake), the game is meant to celebrate the 25th anniversary of One Piece, the best selling manga of all time.
According to Bandai-Namco:
One Piece Odyssey transports the Straw Hats to a mysterious new island where they embark on quests and fight powerful enemies and massive bosses in exciting turn-based battles. In the game, players take on the role of nine of their favorite pirates, playing as Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Franky, Sanji, Usopp, Nico Robin, TonyTony Chopper, and Brook. A new character revealed during the livestream, the cheerful and towering Adio, joins the Straw Hats in their latest adventure.
One Piece Odyssey will release later in 2022 for PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC.
