More Judge Dredd Release News: ‘Legends Of The Law’ Sees DC’s Take On Mega-City One’s Greatest

The 45th Anniversary year for 2000 AD keeps on going – with news of a first collection of the (mostly) John Wagner and Alan Grant written DC Comics series Judge Dredd: Legends of The Law.

Legends of the Law was launched in 1994 to coincide with the release of 1995’s Sly Stallone’s Judge Dredd movie. Mostly written by Wagner and Grant plus art from Dredd stalwarts, John Higgins and Anthony Williams, this is one of those Dredds that didn’t really get the praise it deserved at the time, as DC’s various versions of Dredd never really took off.

But it’s well worth giving it a try, as Wagner and Grant especially manage to capture all of that MC-1 madness in here, epitomised by the organ-harvesting, musical-obsessed Dr. Bliss!

This new collection will bring together the first seven issues of the 13-issues published with the four-part story ‘The Organ Donors’ and three-part ‘Trial By Gunfire’.

Judge Dredd: Legends Of The Law will be released by 2000 AD and Rebellion on 14th September 2022.
