Crowdfunding Comics: Archibald The Alien Returns In ‘Groom Lake: Grey Skies Above’ On Zoop

Writer Chris Ryall and Nelson Daniel have launched a new crowdfunder on Zoop for an all-new Groom Lake graphic novel featuring the loveable alien, Archibald, not seen in print for over a decade. The new book, Groom Lake – Grey Skies Above will be published by Syzygy Publishing.

“It’s ten years after Archibald escaped from the secret base under Groom Lake. The once-destroyed base is showing new signs of life. A conspiracy theorist warns that the “Majestic 13” abductees are being returned to Earth as part of a horrific human/alien swap, and maybe worst of all, a new feature film about aliens presages even more devastating consequences for Archie and his handlers.”

First published in 2009, Ryall had this to say about Archibald’s return:

“I’ve been wanting to find the right time to bring about more Groom Lake and launching this new graphic novel through Zoop feels like the perfect way to do it. Partnering with artist Nelson Daniel and series co-creator Ben Templesmith to tell the story itself, while collaborating with Zoop to involve the fans and backers in a more direct way this time around makes every part of the process invigorating and fun.”
