Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Anime ‘Bastard!!’ Drops Final Trailer

Bastard!! is a Heavy Metal inspired dark fantasy anime based on the manga by Kazushi Hagiwara and directed by Takaharu Ozaki (Goblin Slayer). The series takes place in the dystopian world of Metallion ruled by the four Devine Kings and besieged by the Dark Rebel Army who seek to resurrect the god of destruction Anthrasax. To save the kingdom a priest’s daughter must summon the powerful sorcerer Dark Schneider who’s sealed within the body of a young boy. The premise sounds like a dark fantasy version of Shazam. Bastard!! clearly influenced many other dark fantasy anime that came after. It should be a blast to see the original come to life on July 30th.
