‘Miles Morales’ Celebrates His Iconic 42nd Issue With Guest Stars Galore

To any other superhero, the number 42 is just another issue number that they’re lucky to get to in today’s reboot-happy industry. To Miles Morales, though, it’s the most important number in his life — and Marvel is ready to celebrate.
The spider that bit him was specimen 42. It was his winning lottery number that got him into Brooklyn Visions Academy. The number is just so key, and for the upcoming Miles Morales: Spider-Man #42, regular series writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Christopher Allen are joined by special guests such as Paco Medina, Carmen Carnero and many more to celebrate.
From Marvel’s press release: Miles has been through it lately — time for a little R&R now, right? Not when there’s good that needs doing, and when something dark and insidious rears its ugly head on the streets of Brooklyn, Spider-Man is the only hope to end it. But Miles will need help, from his friends, his family and the most unexpected allies, if he dares to even stand a chance this time!
