Summary

Photos taken on Saturday, June 18th at the 2022 Toronto Comic Arts Festival

The first in person TCAF (since the 2019 show) brought people out in strong numbers. Here are photos of what the lobby of the Toronto Reference Library (ground zero of the festival) looked like before and after people began arriving. Numbers continued to swell as time went on:

Below, we see Scott Chantler, holding up some of his original pages from his book Two Generals, and photos of the Fantagraphics and Spare Parts booths:

Here we see local author Larry Hancock, standing in front of the NBM table, and the Arsenal Pulp booth :

Here we see local artist Marta Chudolinska who works with fine paper cut outs to create her comics, and the Graphic Mundi, Between The Lines, and University of Toronto Press booths:

These are photos from morning panels, one featuring cartoonists who had migrated to other countries including Rumi Hara and Marta Chudolinska, and another one focusing on the the non comics work of Seth – who also talked about having just been made into a chevalier des lettres (a knight) by the French government:

Here we have photos of Maamoul Press, Jordan Aelick, Robb Mirsky and David Craig, and Swedish cartoonist Anneli Furmark standing with festival director Miles Baker:

And finally some photos from the Nordic contingent that is visiting the festival:
