‘Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion’ Announced For Consoles And PC

by Sage Ashford

During Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary stream, the company announced that the PlayStation Portable game Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is getting a remaster. First released in 2007, Crisis Core told the story of Zack Fair, the member of SOLDIER on a task to discover another missing SOLDIER, Genesis.

With the remaster, Square has confirmed they’ve redesigned all the models and backgrounds from the ground up. All the dialogue will come completely voice acted, and the soundtrack has received a new arrangement. Though the game has a mixed reception among fans, Crisis Core serves as an important prologue to the events of Final Fantasy VII and presumably Final Fantasy VII Remake as well.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII – Reunion is releasing on consoles and PC on Steam sometime this winter.
