Originally announced during a Sony State of Play, Valkyrie Elysium revives the cult classic franchise as an action RPG.
Once again, the player takes on the role of Valkyrie, who’s summoned to the human world to purify the souls of Midgard. The character will wield a variety of powers and have the ability to summon Einherjar, which grant special combo bonuses and imbuing Valkyrie with different elements.
Thus far, photos have revealed two of the Einherjar characters in the game.
First up is Eygon, a former knight who battles using a two-handed sword.
And then there’s Cypher, who battles using both a bow & arrow and dual blades and was once a slave trader. More will be added to the game, as there are two additional characters on the game’s cover.
