‘Elvira’ Classic Years Volume 2 Omnibus Heads To Indiegogo

by Erik Amaya

The classic Elvira: Mistress of the Dark series is going to press again via Indiegogo.

Dynamite announced a new campaign Thursday for a second volume of Mistress of the Dark reprints. Like last year’s Volume 1, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark — The Classic Years Omnibus Volume 2 collects more of the stories published by Claypool Comics and sees Elvira fighting vampires, werewolves, mummies, gorillas, politicians, and telemarketers. Clocking in at over 600 pages, it rounds up another 25 issues and features work from comics luminaries like Dave Cockrum, Jim Mooney, Neil Vokes, Tom Simonton, Louis LaChance, Frank Strom, Richard Howell, Lou Mougin, David Day, Dan Day, Bruce Patterson, James Fry, Anna-Maria Cool, John Heebink, Peter Sanderson, Yvonne Mojica, Tom Smith, Al Vey, and more. The new volume will be offered in softcover, a deluxe hardcover, and an “ultimate darkness” edition signed by Elvira herself.

The crowdfunding campaign is live now with copies of Volume 1 on offer as an add-on. Other options include digital copies, photo covers of previous Elvira comics, a four pack of Elvira metal variants, CGC graded exclusives, and more. Stretch goals are also planed, but will be revealed later.

Anyone interested in reserving a copy of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark — The Classic Years Omnibus Volume 2 can do so at the campaign’s Indiegogo page.
