NYCC 2022: Visiting The Korea Creative Content Agency Booth
by Tom Smithyman
While most of the publishers’ booths at New York Comic Con are from North American companies, an Asian governmental agency’s display pops out on the crowded show floor. The Korea Creative Content Agency, a governmental agency overseeing and coordinating the promotion of the Korean content industry, has a booth displaying the offerings of several organizations from across the Pacific Ocean.
Jaedam Media, for example, publishes several K-comics, including Bad Friend, Harmony Garden and Goong. Similarly, Mstoryhub’s display includes information about its manga offering The Remarried Empress as well as free crowns for booth-goers.
Visitors are also able to get their photos taken as one of the many characters and can digitally paint comics with the help of electronic tablets.
