‘Forspoken’ Video Delves Deep Into The Game’s Combat

Square-Enix’s Forspoken went quiet after it was forced out of its Fall release date into the early winter. But with just a few months remaining, the company has started hyping the game back up again with a series of Deep Dive trailers.

In the “Magic Combat” trailer, Square demonstrates how Frey uses her powers to battle against the corrupted beings of Athia. Like any good mage, she is a master of the elements with a variety of spells to use from each and an ability to become stronger as the game progresses.

Though the delay was painful for those looking for a major Square-Enix project, Forspoken looks vastly better than it did earlier this year. And Square released almost a dozen games this year anyway, so they probably needed the chance to expand their release schedule.

Forspoken launches on PlayStation 5, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store on January 24th.
