‘Street Fighter VI’ Announces June 2023 Release Date And Confirms Four New Characters

by Sage Ashford

During The Game Awards, Capcom premiered a pre-order trailer for Street Fighter VI that announced both the release date for the game, and four characters coming to the title. Classic Street Fighter character Dee Jay joins the cast, along with three newcomers in Manon, Marisa, and JP.  More information about all four characters can be found over at the Sony PlayStation blog.

The trailer also premiered a glimpse at more of the game’s World Tour content, which seems to include a variety of mini-games involving basketball, food, and karate chopping the tops off glass bottles. During particularly lopsided battles in World Tour, players will be able to call their Masters (the actual Street Fighters) for a Master Assist, where they’ll fight alongside their masters in battle.

Players who pre-order the game will receive bonus content, including special costume colors, unique art for the launch characters, and more. The Deluxe Edition will include the first Character Pass, which will add four more characters and 4,200 Drive Tickets for in-game purchases, for $84.99.  The Ultimate Edition will cost players $104.99 and add both the Year 1 Character Pass, additional costumes and colors, two more stages, and 7,700 Drive Tickets.

Street Fighter VI launches on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles on June 2nd.
