Nintendo Shadow Drops ‘Metroid Prime Remastered’

In perhaps the biggest surprise of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the company announced that their classic Metroid Prime has been remastered and is available now for the Nintendo Switch. Once again players can return to Tallion IV, now in high definition.
The game doesn’t just look better; Nintendo has also added a new control scheme that allows for dual-analog controls. Fans who love the GameCube layout are still free to enjoy that as well. They’ve also added a “casual” difficulty for those who care more about exploring with Samus rather than dealing with Metroid’s usual challenging difficulty.
Though this game is available now, fans who want a physical product will have to wait. The boxed version of Metroid Prime Remastered will be available on February 22nd. Regardless, both versions will be available for $39.99.
