Harebrained Schemes Announces Pulp Adventure RPG ‘The Lamplighters League’

During publisher Paradox Interactive‘s 2023 Announcement show, developer Harebrained Schemes (BattleTech, Shadowrun) announced new title The Lamplighters League and the Tower at the End of the World. Taking place in an alternate history 1930s, The Lamplighters League features a group of scholars battling against the Banished Court, an organization attempting to take over the world.
The game promises the ability to recruit a number of allies to expand the roster, each with their own special abilities. Though it’s nominally a strategy RPG, there’s also a real-time focus too, with players able to sneak around in real time to knock out enemies before the battle starts.
The developers at Harebrained Schemes were also able to provide a first look at gameplay, shown below:
Though there’s no confirmation on a release date, the game is scheduled to launch in 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X and S.
