This June, Mirka Andolfo Takes ‘Bettie Page’ On An Italian Escapade

Mirka Andolfo is taking Bettie Page by the hand for a trip to Italy.

Dynamite announced Tuesday the imminent debut of a new Bettie Page series from Andolfo, co-writer Luca Blengino, and artist Elisa Ferrari. This time, Bettie been cast as the lead in a film shooting in Rome. But since it is a Bettie Page escapade, some shady-looking toughs attempt to kidnap her before she even gets the chance to enjoy all the country has to offer. Of course, it turns out to be a case of mistaken identity; Miss Page just happens to look nearly exactly like their intended target. Will she be able to wiggle her way out of this predicament and learn more about her mysterious doppleganger along the way?

“Our goal is to tell an intense story with an intense character and an intense but realistic setting,” Andolfo said in a statement.
