2000 AD Art Stars – Could You Write And Draw ‘Judge Dredd’? See Some Of Your Competition

The 2000 AD Art Stars Judge Dredd competition continues until 30th April 2023 and 2000 AD have been showcasing a few of the entries…

After being away for a while, the 2000 AD Art Stars competition returned in January. Only this time, there’s a difference. Where it had been a competition to draw a character, now it’s a chance for your work to appear in 2000 AD (and get paid for it) with a one-page Judge Dredd strip.

So it’s writing and drawing that they’re looking for, the ultimate in compressed storytelling and a challenge for artists who think they can tell a great story in just a single page.

All the details for entering can be found here, but here’s a summary… it’s individual work, one person writing and drawing, you can’t have been professionally published before, and definitely none of that AI rubbish allowed. The winner gets chosen by the editorial team at 2000 AD before being published and paid in the Prog, with two runners-up receiving 2000 AD graphic novels.
