Nick Fury Declares One Last Fight In ‘Secret Invasion’ Trailer

Disney released a trailer for the upcoming Marvel series Secret Invasion late Sunday night. In it, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) returns from a long absence in space to learn from Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) that the situation on Earth is getting worse. Political unrest and ill-feelings from the years after the Blip are being fomented by a splinter cell of Skrulls establishing a sleeper network in every facet of human civilization. Their aim? Unclear. But if this trailer is anything to go by, their plans will unfold across the most serious-minded Marvel Disney+ series to date.
Besides Jackson and Mendelsohn, the series also feature Olivia Colman as an old MI6 association of Fury’s, Emilia Clarke as G’iah — a Skrull with ties to Telos and the splinter cell — Martin Freeman as fugitive CIA agent Everett K. Ross, Cobie Smulders as the dependable Maria Hill, and Don Cheadle as Col. James Rhodes.
Secret Invasion arrives on Disney+ June 21st.
