Yes, the living legend that is Trina Robbins is fighting the rogue Supreme Court with over 30 storytellers from all around the world to publish a pro-choice anthology where all proceeds will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
Over the last few years government and judiciary have done their worst to take away womens’ rights, culminating when the Supreme Court overturned the 1973 decision that gave women the right to make decisions over the care of their own bodies.
We now live in a United States where over 32 states have banned or severely restricted abortion. We all need to do what we can, however we can, to overturn this cruel and nonsensical decision by a Supreme Court that’s gone rogue.
So, always a fighter, always a campaigner and activist, legendary comics creator Trina Robbins has organised Won’t Back Down, a pro-choice anthology featuring over 30 artists, writers, inkers, and colorists, with all the profits going to Planned Parenthood.

Won’t Back Down is an important anthology that celebrates women who fight for justice and is a vital read, a vital project for those of us, those of you, who value free speech, equal rights, and women’s rights – which should be all of us.
Trina Robbins is an award-winning herstorian and writer who’s been making comics for almost 50 years. From the earliest days of women’s Underground comix to becoming the first woman to draw Wonder Woman, Robbins is a major name in comics and someone we should all look to for inspiration.
Voted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2013, Robbins’ books The Brinkley Girls: The Best of Nell Brinkley’s Cartoons from 1913–1940 (Fantagraphics, 2009) and Tarpe Mills and Miss Fury (IDW Publishing, 2011) were nominated for Eisner awards and Harvey awards. Her all-ages graphic novel, Chicagoland Detective Agency: The Drained Brains Caper (Graphic Universe, 2010), the first in a six-book series, was a Junior Library Guild Selection. Her most recent books are Gladys Parker: A Life in Comics, a Passion for Fashion (Hermes Press, 2022), and the Eisner winning The Flapper Queens (Fantagraphics, 2020).

Rewards include the book in digital and physical copies, and a special virtual event tier to celebrate the books lauch with the creators in a virtual launch party. Plus there’s a retailer/library only reward and a ‘donation for the cause’ tier to get your name listed in the thank you section of the book.
The crowdfunding campaign for Won’t Back Down runs until 1st May 2023 with books to ship later in 2023.
