TTRPG Review: ‘Frogs With Shotguns’ Comes Out Shooting

You read that right… Frogs With Shotguns. I am delighted by the title alone and when news of this came across my desk from Odd Ball Games I got really excited to see what was going on.  Frogs With Shotguns did not disappoint.

It’s a fast-paced and competitive game that will have you hopping with excitement! This four-player frenzy will put your froggy skills to the test as you leap and blast your way through the treacherous swamps in search of the elusive Golden Fly.

The game starts with a resounding “RIBBIT!” to signal the beginning of your turn. Roll 2d6 and use the results to determine your Leap (movement) and Blast (attack) actions. Careful planning and strategic decision-making are key as you navigate through the swamps, avoiding obstacles and blasting your opponents away.

But wait! There’s more! Each frog has a unique ability that you can change as you adventure through the muck and mire can be a game-changer.

Like the ability of the WIZRD for example, who can blast through obstacles, giving them a distinct advantage over other frogs who have to find their way around them. With WIZRD, you can shoot your opponents from behind cover, making you a formidable force to be reckoned with!

The game comes with fully illustrated tokens, character sheets, and a game board that you can print and cut out yourself. Assembly instructions and alternative options are included, and you can choose between full-color or black-and-white files. The attention to detail in the artwork is super rad and adds to the immersive experience of playing Frogs With Shotguns. I can’t stop saying Frogs With Shotguns. It just makes me smile!
