There’s a direct line between the mega-blockbusters breaking $$$$ records and the ubiquitous comic characters all over the media and a small but absolutely influential group of young writers and artists who came out of Great Britain in the ’70s and ’80s. Whether it’s Alan Moore, Brendan McCarthy, Peter Milligan, Kevin O’Neill, Grant Morrison, or any number of other names, some well known, others sadly not so much, this group revolutionised and revitalised the world of comics and their influence over the medium remains huge, all these decades later.

Given that we’re losing far too many of the incendiary talents of the time these days, it’s also a book that will act as a celebration of the legacy of this generation.
