Quantum-mania? It’s The ‘Quantum’ #1 Cover Giveaway From Time Bomb Comics

by Richard Bruton

We’ve told you about Time Bomb’s new newsstand title Quantum already, now’s your chance to win the original inked artwork for the cover!

Quantum is the new comic series from Birmingham UK publisher Time Bomb Comics. After many years of publishing some fine, fine books, Quantum is something VERY different – a brand-new bi-monthly anthology that’s getting comics back to their beginnings, back to the newsstands.

Yes, it’s a brave move, as the newsstand and newsagents mean a lot of expense, returnable comics, and a lot of risk for Time Bomb, so it’s great to be able to push the title a little here.

As part of the launch of the Quantum #1- which should be in your local newsagent or at your local newsstand right now, with the first issue debuting on 20th April – Time Bomb have announced a giveaway for the inked cover art pencilled by David Morris and inked by Pat O’Connor.

It’s all part of Time Bomb’s push to get the word out about Quantum and make this brave new/old world of newsstand publishing work for them.

Want to win the cover art – all you need to do is post a picture of yourself with your copy of Quantum and tell the publisher the name and address of the newsagent where you bought it from. Or even better why not get the local newsagent in on it and get them in the pic as well? Just post whatever pics you take on social media and tag Time Bomb so they see it. They’ll then pick a winner at random from the entrants.

Even better, this isn’t just a one-off thing, it’s going to happen each and every issue.

This from Time Bomb publisher Steve Tanner…

“This isn’t something that’s just happening for Quantum No.1. That’s right, Quantum will be giving away the cover artwork for each new issue to one of its readers.

We want to recognise how important the newsagents will be to Quantum’s success, so that’s why the rules of entry for our unique cover art giveaways are designed to give them some much deserved kudos too. So, if your local independent newsagent doesn’t have a copy of Quantum on the shelf, ask them to order one for you and enter our cover art competition when you get it.

It’s just one part of what we’ll be doing with Quantum. We hope the readers will enjoy the content, but we also hope they’ll enjoy being involved with the comic on a deeper level. A Quantum level!”

Quantum is available in News Agents and WHSmiths across the UK now, and available by post from Forbidden Planet Internationally.
