Olan Rogers Can Finally End ‘Final Space’

Final Space creator Olan Rogers recently announced that his vision for the show will be able to conclude in graphic novel format. Final Space was an Sci-fi adventure comedy from 2018 that gained a cult following for its characters, world-building, and bloodthirsty bad guys. The show was in lost-media-limbo after the infamous HBO Max tax write-off. However, you can’t keep a good story down — Olan moved heaven and earth in order to finish Final Space.
The series was unique and caught my eye back when it first premiered. Its commitment to that world-building, creating high stakes, and character growth were incredibly innovative. Fortunately, we are now in a media landscape where audiences expect more story from adult animation. I feel that a project like Final Space or Godspeed would have better luck in the age of streaming TV. Whatever projects Olan has in store for the future, we can be sure he’ll be giving us his all.
