Get Ready For Six Inches Of Thrill Power: Hiya Toys Expands Its Judge Dredd Figure Line

Already responsible for a successful line of 1/18 Judge Dredd figures, HIya Toys and Rebellion have announced a new 1/12 Dredd line, beginning with the man himself…

The Hiya Toys Dredd Universe line has been a hit with fans new and old, garnering praise for the detailing and quality of the sculpts and just how damn good the things look like on your shelves.

But now Hiya Toys and Rebellion have announced they’re expanding the Dredd Universe action figures with a new line of six-inch, 1/12 action figures. And of course, it all starts with everyone’s favourite fascist…

If you’ve seen the 1/18 series, it won’t surprise you that this 1/12 Dredd is packed with details – 19 points of articulation, shoulder and joint pads, chain and badge of office, boot holster, utility belt, and imposing helmet. And let’s not forget the wonderfully Mick MacMahon-style big boot, perfect for stomping on your hopes, dreams, and hard-won freedoms.

This version of Dredd also comes with four alternative faces: featuring a normal expression, one of disdain, a toothy scowl, and an open-mouthed shout as he declares “I am the law!”. There’s also a set of five pairs of interchangeable hands in different poses, including loose grip, fists, daystick holders, gun holders, one pulling the collar of a recently apprehended perp, and one spraying a can of the miracle plastic Boing®.

Accessories include both Mark One and Mark Two type Lawgiver handguns and a can of Boing® spray, as well as gun flame effect and smoke effect pieces, a Boing® spray can special effect piece, plus a nine-hole base, a storage base, and a three-section bracket for posing.

Yep, all looking rather fine there. Pre-orders for the Judge Dredd 1/12 scale figure launches at the end of April with figures expected to reach retailers in October 2023. There’s been a few problems with the earlier figures shipping down to the plague and post-plague transport problems, but the Justice Department have had a word and things appear to be flowing a lot more smoothly now. Amazing what a Judicial word will do when it’s coming from Dredd’s night-stick.
