Alphamega Releases Crafted Chaos With Debut Album ‘Regeneration Machine’

It’s been a busy week with a lot of meetings and calls so I have not had a chance to spin anything new in the office until this evening. I grabbed Alphamega‘s newly released Regeneration Machine, out from Ironshore Records, and it caught me off-guard.
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but Regeneration Machine goes hard from the moment you press play. At first, I thought it was going to be metal but then it turns into this soulful guitar alt-rock vibe and then it slips back into this crunchy hard vibe and then it wanders into a space that feels very pop-rock.
I don’t know that I can tell you exactly what Aphamega is, but I definitely don’t hate it!
There is no genre here and I think that really works in Alphamega’s favor. As someone who very much craves all the stimulation at all times, often finding myself playing a video game, watching a show, listening to a podcast, and watching TikTok on my phone all at the same time, Alphamega has a sound that has almost a crafted chaos to it and the longer I sit with it the longer it works for me.
“These songs represent finding strength in the common ground of struggle and hard times while navigating through it with positive energy and hope,” says the band on the new album, which was produced by John Boecklin, mixed by Joseph McQueen, and co-written by Josh Gilbert. “This album is about reflection, connection and inclusion through our brand of music. Beautiful things come from ugly places.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, Alphamega has also shared a new music video for To The Wolves.
On the track, vocalist Adam Ryan explains, “When I was in the hospital with Covid, I was alone with only my thoughts for 5 sleepless days. It was intense. To the Wolves is a song about facing your mortality, reflecting on your life, and accepting your fate.”
Alphamega has also recently announced that they will be hitting the road supporting Halocene ft. Lauren Babic on the Maleficent Tour, as well as playing additional headlining shows. Tickets are on sale now at this link.
