The Winners Of The Latest ‘2000 AD’ Art Stars Announced – It’s The Ultimate One-Page ‘Judge Dredd’ Story

Congratulations to the winner, Alan Kerr, getting his one-page Judge Dredd into a future 2000 AD.

The 2000 AD Art Stars contest has previously featured new artists doing one-page illustrations, with previous winners including Toby Willsmer, who’s gone on to produce covers and strips for 2000 AD. Along with the annual Thought Bubble art and script contest, this is illustrative of the way in which 2000 AD, pretty much unique amongst big publishers, actively searches for new talent this way.

This latest Art Stars contest was different though, as they were looking for entries showing a single page of Judge Dredd – a done-in-a-page complete story. It’s been hugely successful, with hundreds of entries being shown off on social media, both by 2000 AD and the artists themselves.

Now though, we have the winner and the two runners-up, as announced by 2000 AD.

Congratulations to all three. You’ll see the winning entry in a future Prog – with Alan, of course, being paid for his art. The runners-up get themselves a graphic novel bundle.

Without further ado… the winner is – Alan Kerr with ‘The Telltale Incin Bin‘. It’s a great, great single page that focuses in perfectly on the daily life of a Mega-City One citizen…
