‘Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors’ Available Now To Wishlist On Steam

Welcome to the table,
One of the most memorable campaigns I’ve been in involved my buddy Bob playing a Dragonborn Paladin and me playing a wizard housecat. We found ourselves and a group of less eccentric friends fighting the forces of the Elder Gods, snake men, dinosaurs, and Yig Snake Grandaddy.
I know it sounds like it was totally unhinged, and that’s because it was. We were both way overclocked having built our PCs to do wild amounts of damage, much to our storyteller’s dismay. He let us get away with a lot. There were points, where, between Bob swinging 175 points of damage a round and me slinging spells like I was in a bullet time shooter, we were killing elder things and disrupting the forces of the cosmos in a display that you only read about in fantasy novels.
Just pure power gaming with banter and jokes and fireballs. There were so many fireballs. Somewhere in the halls of heroes, there is a back corner where an armored dragon man and an irritated housecat sit grinning atop a pile of dead snake men and eldritch horrors.
For the rest of my life when I think about gaming, those adventures are going forever stand out to me as the best time I have ever had as a player at the table.
Speaking of bullet time wizards and big damage, let me tell you about Paizo and BKOM Studios Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors, a roguelite* bullet hell survivor game arriving on PC later this year.
In the game, players will battle through Gallowspire, the legendary Pathfinder setting, as one of three heroes, accompanied by an ally of their choosing, until they face the immortal villain who awaits within. To get there, they must slay hordes of enemies, collect and upgrade an arsenal of powerful spells and weapons, and overcome deadly bosses while growing stronger with each attempt.
The thing that excites me most about this game is that Gallowspire is one of the coolest settings in the Pathfinder universe. Currently, it has been destroyed with a deadly necromantic forest growing around it, but in its heyday, it was the former fortress-headquarters of the Whispering Tyrant, and served as the prison where the powerful lich was confined after his defeat at the end of the Shining Crusade.
There are going to be all sorts of wild undead encounters in here and the immortal evil is probably the Whispering Tyrant himself.
