Adult Animation Revolution: ‘Punch Punch Forever!’

If a human can come out triumphant, they will be granted a wish from the Akumugai’s warlord, Emperor Koro.”
Punch Punch Forever! is a lover letter to retro anime in the form of a faux VHS episode. This animated short reminded me strongly of the Dragon Half OVA in all the best ways. The humor both satirizes and celebrates the anime tropes we’ve grown to expect.
This animated short marks new territory for Youtuber speedoru, who typically does pop-culture parodies. I think the world and tone of Punch Punch Forever! are engaging enough that I’d love to see a full web series or another original IP from the creative team. Youtube has allowed several creators to make their own indie animated series, Punch Punch Forever! should join the party.
