SDCC 2023: Insomniac Offers A Look At Venom In New ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ Trailer

During San Diego Comic-Con, developer Insomniac gave up a new story trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This trailer picks up 9-10 months after the last game, showing Peter Parker reconnecting with his old friend Harry Potter. There’s also a focus on Miles’ continued “mentorship” under Peter, where he continues to learn how to be a better Spider-Man.
The real new thing shown in this story trailer though is the first appearance of Venom, Spider-Man’s classic nemesis. Though it’s obvious Eddie Brock won’t be involved in any way here, Venom still seems to be just as dangerous and terrifying as ever. With this being Sony’s last major game for the year, this won’t be the last we see of it.
Insomniac also confirmed a Limited Edition Console Bundle for the PlayStation 5. With a Spider-Man controller and faceplate for the PlayStation 5, this thing is going to sell out the second it’s available on September 1st.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on October 20th.
