What Could Be Better Than The ‘Nemesis The Warlock Definitive Edition’? A BIGGER ‘Nemesis The Warlock Definitive Edition’!

We already told you about the new Nemesis the Warlock: Definitive Edition coming out from 2000 AD in December here. But now, they’ve made it bigger & better!
Well, as you might have expected, with the gorgeous softcover and the even more gorgeous hardcover designed by Gemma Sheldrake, demand was absolutely huge on pre-order.
So much so that 2000 AD have made the decision to upgrade the format for this landmark series of books – making them the largest Nemesis the Warlock reprints there have ever been.
Additionally, they’re going to include restored colour pages and new scans of the original stories to take advantage of the new, larger format.
Both paperback and hardcovers editions of the five-volume Nemesis the Warlock: The Definitive Edition series will now be published in a large-format size measuring 307 x 231mm (as opposed to 276 × 210mm).
As I said before, Nemesis is absolutely one of the definitive 2000 AD stories, making it absolutely right that it gets this fabulous-looking definitive edition.
It all kicks off in this first volume of incendiary Pat Mills and Kevin O’Neill tales, including ‘Terror Tube’, ‘Killer Watt’, ‘The Sword Sinister,’ ‘The World of Termight’ (Book 1), ‘The Alien Alliance’ (Book 2), ‘The Secret Life of Blitzspear’, and ‘A Day in the Death of Torquemada’. It will also have development sketches showing the evolution of the cloven-hoofed alien freedom fighter Nemesis and his living spaceship, the Blitzspear – plus a panel from 1981 drawn by series creator O’Neill that acted as an apology to readers when the last few episodes of ‘The World of Termight’ were late.
Future volumes should include similarly incredible artwork by Jesus Redondo, Bryan Talbot, John Hicklenton, David Roach, plus Tony Luke, Paul Staples, Clint Langley, Henry Flint, Carl Critchlow, and Chris Weston, before O’Neill returns in spectacular style (what else?) for the final Nemesis tale.
For the first time, these editions will properly reprint the Nemesis the Warlock stories in their original publication order. They will also feature colour pages, as well as new high-resolution scans of the original stories, and all the covers and pin-ups from each era.
The first volume of Nemesis the Warlock: The Definitive Edition, bigger and better, will be out on 5 December from book and comic shops, with the digital edition and that gorgeous-looking hardcover edition available exclusively from 2000AD.com.
