‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ And Tries Again In Teaser For Netflix Anime Series

Scott Pilgrim is back! In anime form!
As seen above, Netflix has released the first teaser for its upcoming animated adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley‘s Scott Pilgrim comic book series. By virtue of the medium, it looks much closer to the origin comic book than the 2010 feature film adaptation, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World — but that project is not being thrown aside with its director, Edgar Wright, serves as an executive producer and the entire cast returns to voice the roles they played in the film 14 years ago.
Featuring the voices of Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman, and Ellen Wong, the eight-episode season is written by O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski while Science SARU and director Abel Gongora handle the animation.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off lands on Netflix November 17th.
