Marvel Unveils David Nakayama’s Foil Cover For October’s ‘Captain Marvel’ #1

Marvel Comics has announced another foil cover for this fall, this time for its upcoming Captain Marvel series. The variant cover, drawn by artist David Nakayama, showcases Carol Danvers’ updated costume, complete with a jacket.
In Captain Marvel #1, written by Alyssa Wong and drawn by Marvel’s so-called stormbreaker artist Jan Bazaldua, the hero takes on new cosmic threat known as the Omen. The captain’s new costume comes courtesy of artist Jen Bartel.
“I’m so excited to be writing Captain Marvel,” Wong said. “Carol is such an iconic character with a rich history, and I can’t wait to add to her story. It’s an honor to work with Jan and I hope everyone enjoys what we’ve got coming!”
Captain Marvel #1 will go on sales October 25, 2023.
