Adult Animation Revolution: ‘Yuki 7’ Returns With Style

Whether dodging dino bikers in Hong Kong or hammerhead gangs on the high seas, Yuki 7 out-smarts and out-plans any baddie with her cutting edge gadgets, signature moves, and style. But WHO IS YUKI 7? Together with her trusted team – a rocket-powered turtle man and a talking cat – they unlock the mystery one mission at a time.
Yuki 7 is a character created by Kevin Dart inspired by the psychedelic spy adventures of the ’60s. The Yuki’s adventures will be brought to life in a new three episode micro-series will be produced by studio Chromosphere with Elizabeth Ito (City of Ghosts) and Karen Dufilho (Epic Games).
Yuki 7 is returning with an all new micro-series, Hotel Kolkata. I found the first micro-series to be enjoyable with really appealing art and fun characters. However, Yuki 7 in now competing in an internet landscape of Murder Drones and Helluva Boss — which have stellar writing and sick production values. If Yuki 7 wants to stay afloat Hotel Kolkata had better be coming in hot.
I’m not saying Yuki 7 needs to be raunchy or violent, but I would like to see higher physical and emotional stakes than the first season. I believe that Yuki 7 could be like a Kim Possible or PowerPuff Girls show for Young Adults and become very successful.
