‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’ Launches February 29th

Square-Enix seems to be on a roll with releasing video games lately. At the recent Sony State of Play, they unveiled the release date of their upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in a brand-new trailer. Fans of Final Fantasy VII will find plenty of recognizable elements from older games, including the different colored Chocobo, the Golden Saucer, and the dangerous Midgar Zolom.

Of course, it’s a remake so there’s also some new stuff present, like Cloud on a segway and team attacks in battle. With this new game taking place across two discs, there’s a good chance they’ve only shown us just the surface of all the content in this game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches February 29th, 2024 exclusively for PlayStation 5. This time around, the exclusivity period is only three months though, so potentially a PC release could happen within the year.
