‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ Takes Miles And Peter Into An Expanded New York

by Sage Ashford

Sony and Insomniac are just a month off from releasing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and just ahead of it they closed out their recent State of Play with information on the new version of the city of New York. This “Expanded Marvel’s New York” trailer reveals Queens and Brooklyn have been added to New York, doubling the size of the open world. It gives another look at the web gliders available to both heroes to make getting through this massive world easier. The traversal for Marvel’s Spider-Man was a highlight in the last game, and it looks like it’ll be the same for this new title as well.

With the ability to seamlessly switch between both Miles and Peter a la GTA V, players will have twice the missions and twice the enemies to handle. The focus still seems to be on Peter for now, but there are hints that Miles will have his own narrative that will hopefully be just as important in the story.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on October 20th.
