Roblox ‘Piñata Smashlings’ Are About To Make A Splash This Fall

I’ve never played Roblox but my friends and in-laws have young kids and I’m telling you, these things are like POGS! Did I just date myself? I fully intend to talk more about Pogs later, but for now, brace yourselves for the Piñata Smashlings extravaganza! As these well-known characters from Roblox make the leap to physical collectibles this fall in the U.S. and Canada!

Toikido introduced the world to Smashlings, a chaotic and cute bunch of creatures and animated Piñatas that are just looking for a good time and hunting the mysterious Rainbow Whale, who drops new Rainbow pods. In collaboration, Toikido and the fine folks over at PMI have transformed these beloved characters into a toy line featuring collectible figures, articulated pinatas, cuddly plushies, and fun little playsets. These are going to be heavily hunted toys for so many parents I know.

I love all the words I used above, and I totally understand that to an outsider or a parent not listening to a 6-year-old kid talk a mile a minute about these guys, this is all going to sound totally unhinged. I ask that you think back to Furby, CareBears, or Pogs.

Or, if you somehow do not have any sort of association with toys, or were not a child on Earth at any point, think about the way those drunk guys babble in the bar about the sports facts from some dude on the TV. You have no idea what is going on, but we are all having a good time and honestly, that is what matters.

What I’m really saying in this toy preview is that it’s okay to just listen to people about the stuff they are into, young or old, as long as the stuff they are into does not hurt other people. Being heard is very important and if your kid is into something show interest and maybe they will grow up and still call you on the weekends.
