‘A Tiny Sticker Tale’ Review: Fun And Innovative Gameplay With A Wholesome Story

In Ogre Pixel’s A Tiny Sticker Tale, you assume the role of a young donkey named Flynn who searching for his long, lost father. His quest brings him to Figori Island where, armed with a magical sticker album that can store everyday items and scenery, he hopes to find some answers. Along the way, Flynn learns about love, family and resolve.
The characters and graphics are adorable and the setting consists of many colorful locations. The aesthetic complements the casual gaming atmosphere. The narrative is pretty straightforward, but heartwarming watching flashbacks between Flynn and his dad with the elder imparting valuable life lessons.
The biggest draw of A Tiny Sticker Tale is the gameplay. Pretty much every environment is interactive peeling off random items, scenery or even the villagers scattered throughout and storing them into your sticker album. There are some real brain teasers as you make sure you have the right combination of inventory in the album and placing the stickers in the right place to solve puzzles and advance in the story. There are multiple solutions to every puzzle, and it tests your creativity to find the different ones. You can also mix and match from your sticker collection to customize your own house. If you’re bored, you can even create your own settings for each location. This provides a nice immersive experience.
Because of its casual nature, it’s not a difficult game to play through. It’s very self-intuitive and isn’t much of a challenge. Even if you get hung up on one aspect, there is a villager who can provide helpful hints. You could probably achieve 100% completion in an afternoon. More veteran players may also be turned off by the obvious morals and teachings as you progress. The story definitely plays better to younger audiences.
If you’re looking for a relaxed and wholesome gaming experience with innovative gameplay, and you can overlook the more elementary aspects of the narrative, A Tiny Sticker Tale is a fun play for a day.
