When Jigen and Lupin visit a cemetery and they find a gravestone with Jigen’s name on it. Jigen remembers a rumor about the assassin who prepares an early gravestone for his target, Yael Okuzaki. Now two highly skilled Gunmen, Yael Okuzaki and Daisuke Jigen, will duel to the death.
The Lupin the IIIrd OVAs by Takeshi Koike are masterfully produced films that deserve more attention. This is a more adult version of Lupin the IIIrd than some viewers may be familiar with. The short also spotlights the series femme fatale Fujiko Mine investigating an Kurbickesque cult. Stylish, sexy, and action-packed Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen’s Gravestone is a must watch for anime fans and a great starting point for adult audiences who are new to anime.
