Warhammer 40k The Dark Angel’s ‘Azrael’ Figure Rises To The Occasion

When I am working I typically have something on in the background. Usually, it’s a lore video from some IP with tons of hours of content. Some of the best topics for these background offerings are Elden Ring, Dungeons & Dragons, and of course Warhammer 40k.
The Grim Dark Universe, created by Games Workshop, that the Warhammer 40k exists within is really vast and full of all manner of stories and secrets. Some of my favorites involve the faction of space marines, giant genetically modified warriors in ancient yet advanced power armor, known as The Dark Angels.
One such figure in The Dark Angel’s lexicon of lore is Supreme Grand Master Azrael. Azrael, who serves as the current supreme grand master of the Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter decided to follow in the footsteps of his gene-father Lion El’Jonson and undergo the painful transformation to become a Primaris Space Marine.
Space Marines are already massive humanoids encased in tank-like armor that can withstand all but the most powerful attacks. Becoming a Primaris transforms them even further giving them even more power but also giving them prestige and instilling them into a position of almost god-like leadership in the eyes of those who follow them.
Being sullen and grim and possessing a deep conviction to uphold the honor of The Dark Angels, Azrael became an easy leader to follow. Even with his unwavering purpose, Azrael still continues the hidden agenda of The Dark Angels to hunt down Falle Angels, renegade space marines who are now under the influence of the ancient Gods of Chaos.
