Dark Horse Unearths ‘Headless Horseman’ Variant Cover For Upcoming Special Events

Dark Horse Comics is getting into the spooky season by offering a limited-edition variant cover of its upcoming Headless Horseman Halloween Annual 2023.
The cover, drawn by Philip Sevy, is limited to 500 and will be sold this weekend at the Famous Monsters Festival in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and at New York Comic Con. If the cover doesn’t sell out that those events, Dark Horse will offer it on its website and other conventions in the future.
The annual is a 56-page Halloween with stories from several creators including Angela Slatter, Lukas Ketner, Olivia Stephens, Christie Porter, Tyler Crook and Frank Cvetkovic. Standard cover versions will retail for $7.99 while Sevy’s variant will cost $20.
At Famous Monsters, actor David Dastmalchian, who wrote a story for the anthology, will make a special appearance to pitch the book.
After the special events, Headless Horseman Halloween Annual 2023’s regular covers will be available to purchase beginning October 18.
