Appeal Studios Provides Four Minute Gameplay Trailer For ‘Gangs Of Sherwood’

Developer Appeal Studios has released a four minute “gameplay overview” trailer for their upcoming co-op title, Gangs of Sherwood. As hinted by the title, Gangs of Sherwood takes place in a version of the world of Robin Hood, only here both magic and steampunk technology exist. While Gangs of Sherwood has been shown off before, this is the first time they’ve given us a look at multiple stages and the game’s UI, which feels strangely reminiscent of Capcom’s Devil May Cry series, focusing on stringing together consecutive hits and being “graded” for the combo.
This gameplay overview trailer also gives a glimpse into the core gameplay loop experience, including an additional look at the gang’s hideout. While Robin Hood hasn’t exactly done well in video games, Gangs of Sherwood feels like a co-op experience similar to the classic Gauntlet games, albeit with more RPG elements.
Gangs of Sherwood launches November 2nd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
