Square-Enix Introduces Gameplay For ‘Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince’

A new gameplay overview trailer has released for Square-Enix’s upcoming monster capturing game, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Set in the world of Nadiria, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince follows Psaro, a man cursed and forbidden from fighting monsters. With no way to fight, Psaro becomes a Monster Wrangler to protect himself.
As a Monster Wrangler, Psaro captures a variety of monsters across the continent of Nadiria, which changes based on the seasons he discovers them. At the same time, he can “Synthesize” monsters to create new, more powerful ones. The trailer walks players through the basics of these abilities, serving as a pretty entertaining introduction to Square-Enix’s latest Dragon Quest game.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince releases for the Nintendo Switch December 1st.
