Check Out Nintendo’s ‘Super Mario RPG’ Overview Trailer

Nintendo has released an overview trailer for the upcoming remake of the SNES classic, Super Mario RPG. The trailer breaks down the premise of the game, showing Mario and Bowser’s latest battle before a new enemy comes along and forces them to team up together. It also reintroduces the cast of characters, and explains some of the new mechanics in the game while giving a look at the game’s redone environments.
The game remains a largely faithful re-adaptation, with a handful of new changes. Most of the new changes are combat-focused, like the introduction of a new Triple Move that can be used once players fill up their action command gauge. There’s also a new Breezy Mode for beginners and the previously-mentioned Rematch Bosses option. While the lack of expanded content might be a bummer, it’s still nice to see this classic get this much love for its remake.
Super Mario RPG launches November 17th exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
